Using SameCal.

1. Publisher and applicable agreement

SameCal is provided by Joseph Benedict Napiza (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Contact us at samecal.app@gmail.com.

The SameCal app is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), together with applicable Apple Media Services terms. This page explains SameCal’s use and support conditions; it does not replace Apple’s standard EULA or create a separate custom app license.

If this page conflicts with the EULA concerning the app license, the EULA controls. Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

2. Educational use and nutrition disclaimer

SameCal helps you explore equal-calorie portions. Nutrition values, weights, visual portions, and suggestions are approximate and can vary by product, recipe, preparation, brand, and serving size. Some foods use recipe estimates. Images are illustrative and are not a measurement tool.

SameCal does not provide medical or individualized dietary advice, diagnose conditions, prescribe a calorie target, or guarantee health or weight outcomes. Equal calories do not mean equal nutrition, and food-weight comparisons do not measure fullness or volume.

Use product labels and qualified professional advice for individual dietary needs. Do not rely on SameCal to manage allergies, a medical condition, or an eating disorder, or delay professional care because of information in the app.

3. Free features and SameCal Pro

SameCal includes free curated Discover comparisons and an allowance of three distinct custom food pairings. Previously authorized pairings remain available at different calorie amounts. Further new custom pairings and marked Pro tools require SameCal Pro.

Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase with no recurring subscription charge. Apple displays the current price and purchase details before you confirm. Features available with your purchase are described in the app.

To restore a purchase, connect to the internet, use the Apple Account that purchased Pro, and select Restore Purchases in Settings or on the purchase screen. Access depends on Apple’s verified purchase status; a refunded or revoked purchase may no longer unlock Pro.

4. Payments and refunds

Apple processes payments. Request an eligible refund through reportaproblem.apple.com. Refund decisions follow Apple’s policies and applicable law. We do not collect card details or directly process App Store refunds.

Deleting the app does not automatically refund a purchase. See Apple’s refund instructions for help.

5. Local data and sharing

SameCal does not provide an app account or its own cloud-sync service. Saved comparisons, history, and preferences are stored on your device. Deleting the app or losing device data can remove those records. Restoring Pro restores purchase access, not necessarily your previous comparisons.

You choose whether to share exported comparison images and who receives them. Do not present approximate nutrition or illustrative artwork as exact measurements or medical advice.

6. Responsible use and content

Use SameCal lawfully and in accordance with Apple’s EULA. Do not misuse the support service, impersonate another person, interfere with the website, or use the app to violate another person’s rights.

Rights in the app’s software, branding, and other protected materials remain with their respective owners. Your use of the app does not transfer ownership of those materials. Sharing through the app’s export feature is subject to applicable law and any relevant third-party rights.

7. Availability, updates, and legal rights

We may update features, correct nutrition information, and adjust compatibility. Continued compatibility with every future device or operating-system version is not guaranteed. Changes remain subject to applicable law, Apple’s terms, and any rights attached to your purchase.

The warranties, limitations of liability, termination provisions, and governing-law terms for the app license are set out in Apple’s EULA. This page does not expand those exclusions or remove mandatory local consumer protections.

We may revise this page to reflect changes in the app or applicable terms. The latest revision date appears above. Where required, we will provide notice or seek agreement to material changes.
